On September 25, 2024, we gathered outside Dáil Éireann for the Rally 4 Ireland’s Seas, and what an unforgettable day it was! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the over 150 passionate individuals who joined us to advocate for the protection of our precious marine environment. Minister Malcolm Noonan came to greet the crowd and letters written by national school children addressed to government were delivered to him.
Your commitment and enthusiasm on the day was palpable, and it was inspiring to see so many people united for this vital cause. A special shout-out goes to those who traveled great distances to be with us from as far as West Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo. Your dedication truly exemplifies the spirit of community and advocacy that we strive to foster.
We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the first-year class of the National College of Art & Design for their incredible costumes. Your creativity and effort added a vibrant energy to the event, making it a visually stunning demonstration of support for our seas. Also a special thank you must go out to our colleagues at Ulster Wildlife for loaning us their incredible inflatable marine animals.
Finally, a huge thank you to our friends at Patagonia Dublin for hosting a fantastic afterparty! Your support and hospitality provided a perfect way to unwind and celebrate the day’s accomplishments together.
Together, we are making waves for a healthier ocean. Thank you once again for your participation, passion, and unwavering support. Let’s continue our important work together for the future of Ireland’s seas!
